Dastaan Spaces is Gwalior's first purpose-built intimate performance venue. With just 50 premium seats in a fully air-conditioned hall, every audience member sits close enough to hear an actor breathe, see a musician's fingers move, feel the weight of a pause.
We designed this space because we believe great stories deserve to be experienced up close — not from Row Z of a 500-seat auditorium. Here, the fourth wall doesn't just break. It never existed.

Gwalior isn't just a city with a fort. It's the birthplace of India's oldest and most influential school of classical music — the Gwalior Gharana, known as the Gangotri (origin) of Khyal raga.
It was in the Sangeetshaala of Raja Man Singh Tomar, inside the Man Mandir Palace, that the Dhrupad tradition was refined and a musical genius named Tansen was shaped — the same Tansen who became one of Emperor Akbar's nine jewels.
The Tansen Samaroh, held annually since 1924 (now 101 editions strong), remains one of India's most prestigious classical music festivals. Gwalior's musical DNA runs deeper than most cities can imagine.
